Quite often I hear people unhappy with growing older and loosing their youth - aging with grace doesn't seem a joyous option. In understanding the attachment to youth - and realizing that youth can provide profound resilience - being supple, flexible, balanced and strong help recapture that sense.
My work will help you to find and retain a revitalized feeling of being youthful, of staying young - and hopefully to sustain it for the first 100 years.
Integrative movement training for life – Pilates
No matter what our role is in life, a truth is that our bodies need to move. We need to move freely with joy and without pain. I am here to facilitate that process.
Some of us wish to be thinner, lose a dress size or belt notch or two, be stronger, or curvier. Some want to jump higher, swing harder, improve golf scores, bend backwards, gain flexibility, or kneel down. Some want thinner thighs, narrow hips, a flat stomach, to touch their toes, to eat chocolates and ice cream for desert. Some want better stage presence. Some just want to believe they can.
I want to help you do all those things, although hopefully not all at once. :-)
I incorporate decades of complimentary movement training and education into my work to help you. I am about addressing what you need.
If you’re a person, an athlete, a student of dance, a teacher, a granddad, a mom, a couch potato, or someone recovering from an injury or illness, I offer small group, private, semi-private instruction and coaching geared to helping you meet your goals.
My work, regarded as a truth, is for people, every body, grooming you for better things, improving the mental and physical self, inside and out.
I have substantial experience with elimination of pain, enhancing personal expression, working with folks with disc herniation and ruptures, sciatica, severe scoliosis, 1 to 3 titanium rods in the spine, paraplegics, stroke victims, competitive elite athletes, Olympian and Olympian Hopefuls, mothers-to-be, recovery before and after meniscus tear surgery, knee replacements, hip replacements (total and partial), shoulder replacements, multiple joint replacements, steel plates in the feet, steel plates in the arm or hand, ankle sprains, broken ankles, broken wrist and hand surgeries, hyper-extension, instability, lack of co-ordination, lack of focus and balance, overall weakness, swimmers, golfers, dancers, bicyclers, walkers, runners, long term cancer patients.
